Sarah Hinawi, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Hi, I’m Sarah. After more than 20 years working in diverse settings to help people heal, grow, and step into their fullest selfhood, I bring creativity, insight, and a wide range of skills to my work with individuals and couples.
I am trained through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and offer both cannabis-assisted and ketamine-assisted therapy. My background includes extensive experience in adaptive change, personal development, and helping people move through periods of uncertainty with clarity and self-leadership.
In my practice, I support couples seeking deeper connection as well as individuals navigating life transitions, body image concerns, gender identity questions, or the exploration of polyamory. I also work with clients integrating psychedelic experiences or treatments, including ketamine. I especially love helping women break through internalized limitations and supporting men who are ready to step out of patterns rooted in toxic masculinity.
My style is reflective and practical. I’m always looking for ways to help reduce conflict, increase mindfulness, and build a stronger foundation of independence and internal security within relationships.
I am continually inspired by the Developmental Model of Couples Counseling and its ability to help partners at all stages find new depth, warmth, and ease with each other—even when things feel stuck or overwhelming. I also work with couples through Discernment Counseling, a structured, time-limited process designed by Bill Doherty that supports partners in determining the right next steps for their relationship with clarity and respect.
